BAY
Positives offers a variety of workshops specifically designed
for youth. Workshops are best suited for classroom presentations,
small assemblies, health fairs, and intramural groups
and networks.

on HIV transmission, testing, affect on your immune system,
and ways to reduce your risk of infection.

- which STDs exist, symptoms, testing, treatment options,
transmission, and ways to decrease your risk of infection.

about transgender people. Definitions on trans identity
and trans related terms are discussed as well as how you
can become an ally to trans friends and peers.
Substance
Use And Youth
This interactive workshop provides an overview of youth
substance use. The harm reduction method, messages youth
receive about drugs and alcohol, triggers that affect
youth, and their decisions about substance use are discussed.
Homophobia
And Youth
Homophobia affects us all, regardless of sexual orientation.
This interactive workshop demystifies terms and explores
common stereotypes. Participants gain a better awareness
of homophobia as well as ways of becoming an ally for
the LGBTQQ community.
Youth
Rights And Confidentiality
Some youth fail to access healthcare due to their distrust
of adults and/or concerns about their parents finding
out what they're up to. This workshop arms youth with
accurate facts about their rights around confidentiality
and the healthcare system.
Resume
Development (2 Sessions)
Just because you're young doesn't mean you can't have
a kick-ass resume. This hands-on workshop covers what
type of resume is best for you, hints on what employers
look for, and ways to avoid making common resume mistakes.
This interactive workshop provides valuable feedback and
support from the group.
Goal
Setting (2 Sessions)
Some adults complain that youth have no goals or ambitions.
That's not so surprising, considering most of us have
never been given the tools to plan. Some youth are afraid
of success, while others have set elaborate goals, but
gave up after failing to achieve them. This interactive
workshop gives participants the framework to make and
achieve their goals and provides valuable feedback and
support from the group.
