PEP is a 28-day cycle of drug treatment believed to be 80% effective in preventing an HIV-negative person from becoming positive after exposure to HIV.

City Clinic offers testing, counseling, and prescription for PEP medication within 72 hours of a possible exposure to HIV.

Clinic walk-in hours for PEP services are:

Monday. Wednesday. Friday ... 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Tuesday ... 1 to 5 pm
Thursday ... 1 to 3 pm

Expect to meet with a clinician to discuss medications, have blood drawn for HIV and STD tests, and receive a schedule for follow-up appointments at 1, 3, and 6 months.
